Ep 6.19 Listener Response: Burdens and responsibilities keep you up

In this listener response episode, I’m responding to a woman who is dealing with recurring stomach issues, but she is also having trouble with all three sleep challenge. She has trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, and she's even up at 3 or 4am quite often.

However, she stated that falling asleep isn’t usually the issue. Staying asleep is more often what she is experiencing. When she wakes, worry takes over, and over time the sleep disruption catches up to her physically.

As we talked through her intake, a larger pattern emerged. She carries a lot of responsibility for others, is the problem-solver in her family, and often feels the weight of being the one everyone depends on. 

This episode is about understanding the mix of physical symptoms, emotional burden, and ongoing pressure that’s showing up at night for her.
